So, if you’re looking for some new ideas on where to take your little ones besides around the neighborhood, check out these Safe Trick or Treating events that will be taking place this year on Long Island.

Some towns on Long Island have safe trick or treating within their towns with the local stores. Northport Village has a Halloween Safe Zone, where children can go safe trick or treating at participating stores in Northport.

Stony Brook has an annual Halloween Festival that includes trick-or-treating at the local shops of Stony Brook Village. Other activities include a costume parade, games, a free mini pumpkin, and more! There is also the Halloween Treasure Hunt in Patchogue.

trickotreat1The Heckscher Museum of Art is hosting Trick or Treat at the Museum on Halloween.

Tanger Outlets, both the Riverhead and Deer Park locations, will be hosting a Trick or Treat event on Halloween. Once you get your Tanger Trick or Treat Bag, you can visit participating stores for special treats.

Some Long Island school districts, like Hauppauge, have a Safe Halloween as well. Be sure to check with your local school district to see if they have an event planned.

If you know of any more Safe Trick or Treating events be sure to let the LiMamas know about them!!

But most important…have fun with your little trick or treaters, and don’t forget to share your pictures with us!
