“What’s Up for the Weekend” –  July 12th/13th

There’s never a shortage of things to do on Long Island especially during the summer months!

So, if you’re BarBQ free, and have no parties on the calendar, here’s “What’s up for the Weekend”- fun, family friendly activities …enjoy!


SATURDAY, JULY 12TH:

Play ‘MY’ Way GRAND OPENING, 11am – 3pm. 2229 Route 112, Coram. A newly renovated children’s play center offering classes and programs for children and adults, party packages, and more.

Nesconset Farmer’s Market:  9am – 1pm. Located at 127 Smithtown Blvd, Nesconset.

Lynbrook Summer Festival: 11am-6pm. Located in the municipal lot on Sunrise Highway and Forest Ave. Arts and crafts, food, rides, and more!

South Shore Theater Experience: Peter Pan Jr. and Once on This Island Jr., 1pm. Located at 350 Higbie Lane, West Islip. Call 631-669-0506 for ticket reservations.

Bailey Arboretum Nature Study and Woodland Walk: 3pm, children 10 years old and older. Located at 194 Bayville Rd and Feeks Lane, Lattingtown. Take a nature walk to see birds, fish, trees, and plants!

Long Island Children’s Museum: “Messy Afternoons” – 3:30pm-5pm. Located at 11 Davis Ave, Garden City. Lots of artistic activities involving shaving cream and play-doh – be prepared to get messy!

37th Annual Mattituck Old Fashioned Street Fair: 9am -4pm. Located on Love Lane & Pike Street, in Mattituck. There will be food, entertainment and many unique arts and crafts to be sold

Long Beach Summer Movie Night:The Wizard of Oz, 8:30pm. Located on Neptune Blvd. Bring a blanket and chair!

 

Baldwin Day: 4pm -9pm, Celebrate Baldwin Day on July 12th!  (Rain date will be July 13th from 6-8 PM)

 


 

SUNDAY, JULY 13TH

Kings Park Farmer’s Market: 9am-12pm. Located on Main Street – Municipal lot near library.

Lynbrook Summer Festival: 11am-6pm. Located at Sunrise Highway and Forest Ave. Arts and crafts, food, rides, and more!

Puppets in the Park: show times are 1:30pm and 3pm. Located at Argyle Park, Main Street, Babylon.

Long Island Children’s Museum: “Messy Afternoons” – 3:30pm-5pm. Located at 11 Davis Ave, Garden City. Lots of artistic activities involving shaving cream and play-doh – be prepared to get messy!

Clinton G. Martin Park: Movies in the Park: Matilda, 7:30pm. Located at 1601 Marcus Ave, New Hyde Park.
