Plant a Garden
Spring is a great time to start planting a flower or vegetable garden (or both!). Pansies and Gerber Daisies are a great, colorful start for a garden and can tolerate a light frost. Vegetables that can tolerate a light frost include carrots, cauliflower, broccoli and kale.
Play Outdoor Games
Try out some fun classics, like hopscotch, bicycle riding, sidewalk chalk drawing, jumping rope, and hula hoops. Also be sure to check local town websites for Easter egg hunts!
Cold Spring Harbor Fish Hatchery
The non-profit educational center is open daily. The hatchery has many different programs for children of all ages throughout the year to teach them about fish and other water life.

The Vanderbilt Museum
