NYMetroParents Launches Cover Contest for Next Child Model – CLOSED

Calling all parents! NYMetroParents, the largest publisher of regional parenting magazines on the East Coast, is launching its 2013 Cover Contest for it next child cover model. The winner will represent its parenting titles, including Big Apple Parent, Brooklyn Parent, Queens Parent, Westchester Parent, Long Island Parent, Rockland Parent, and Fairfield Parent.

Through June 10, 2013, NYMetroParents will be taking photo submissions of children ages 3-12 on its Facebook fan page (facebook.com/nymetroparents) and encouraging parents to select a favorite photo of their child for the competition. All photos submitted must be amateur photos (i.e. no photography studios or professional photographers).

NYMetroParents editors will select a total of seven finalists from the entries on June 11 — one finalist from each of its regions: Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, Westchester, Rockland, Fairfield County, and Long Island. An additional “fan favorite” finalist will be chosen based on the number of votes the photo receives on Facebook through June 10.

All eight finalists, including one fan favorite with the most votes, will each receive a professional photo shoot in NYC, which includes wardrobe, hairstyling, an 8”x10” retouched photo, and a gift card to RUUM American Kids’ Wear.

One grand prize winner selected from the finalist pool by the NYMetroParents editors will grace the cover of a future NYMetroParents magazine and will also take home the world’s smallest DSLR, Canon EOS Rebel SL-1 digital camera (ARV $800).
