Children can construct works of art using thousands of Legos (donations of gently used Lego accepted).

Garden City – The Cupcake Corner “Children’s Crafts”
At this event, kids can work on a craft and there’s a different one each week. Craft takes anywhere from 15-45 minutes to complete depending upon the age of the child. No purchase necessary.

Garden City – Long Island Children’s Museum “Line Design with de Kooning”
Explore the use of lines just as artist William de Kooning did in his greatest works of art.  Use different types of brushes and techniques to create a work of art made of black and white abstract lines.  Leave your masterpiece at the museum for  inclusion in their 2013 spring exhibit.  This program is funded by The William de Kooning Foundation.

Garden City – Long Island Children’s Museum, “Silly Dilly Band”
The Silly Dilly Band is a perfect way to get the sillies out. They ask that kids join in on the musical fun, wear bright colors and get ready to clap, stomp and smile away the afternoon!

Melville  -Newsday Headquarters “Newsday Holiday Lights”
Bethpage Federal Credit Union and Lord & Taylor have teamed up to create a Winter Wonderland for families to enjoy.
