Things to Do on Long Island this Weekend with Kids November 3-4

We hope your families stayed safe during the big storm. If your family is looking to get out of the house this first weekend of November, here are some things to do on Long Island this weekend with kids.

Children can construct works of art using thousands of Legos (donations of gently used Lego accepted).

The Cupcake Corner “Children’s Crafts”
Kids can work on a craft and there’s a different one each week. Craft takes anywhere from 15-45 minutes to complete depending upon the age of the child. No purchase necessary.

Garden CityLong Island Children’s Museum “Dia De Los Muertos”
“Dia De Los Muertos” means “Day of the Dead” in Spanish. But don’t get scared off by the name as it’s actually a festive Latin American holiday of remembrance. Kids can create their own sugar skull to celebrate the day.

CM Performing Arts “Go, Dog, Go!”
Annabelle is anything but a typical witch. She doesn’t want to be like the other mean witches, but feels lonely and sad. She meets two lost children, and by keeping them away from the “bad” witches she not only helps them but finds her own happiness.

Old Westbury - Old Westbury Gardens “The Rise of the Jack O’ Lanterns – Encore Night”
The show has been sold out so the organizers have scheduled an encore performance for one day only on Saturday, 11/3. Come and see over 5,000 hand-carved Jack O’ Lanterns light up the beautiful garden grounds. It’s festive, not creepy! The event features work by local craftsman and artists.
