It’s hard to believe but this weekend is the last of October weekends. Kids are gearing up for Halloween, gathering leaves for school projects and spending days carving pumpkins. In the spirit of Halloween, we have several festive activities lined up as there’s always plenty of things to do this weekend on Long Island with kids. Happy Halloween!

 

 

Bridgehampton – Children’s Museum of the East End (CMEE) “Lego Club”
Children can construct works of art using thousands of Legos (donations of gently used Lego accepted).

Dix Hills – Albert H. Schmitt Family Farms “Great Pumpkin Patch”
Come see a great selection of fall flowers, decorations and decor. Kids will enjoy a Pumpkin Bouncy House, John Deere Trike play area, hayrides, animal train ride and lots of autumn themed treats to enjoy including hot apple cider, homemade candy apples and freshly made baked goods.

East Islip - Brookwood Hall “Thrill The World”
Thriller is back! This famous video was all the rage in the 80’s and continues to be an iconic Halloween dance video. This is the 3rd year attempting to break the world record for the largest worldwide simultaneous “Thriller” dance for three different world record organizations and multiple charities. Special appearance by the Long Island Flash Mob Organization (LIFMO).

Garden City – The Cupcake Corner “Children’s Crafts”
Kids can work on a craft and there’s a different one each week. Craft takes anywhere from 15-45 minutes to complete depending upon the age of the child. No purchase necessary.

Garden City – Long Island Children’s Museum “Ghostly Gala”
Come celebrate Halloween in a kid-friendly, safe but spooky way at LICM.  Dress in your costume to trick or treat in the gallery, decorate a take home goody bag, enjoy face painting & festive music, have a chance to meet live animals and complete make & take crafts. Bonus: Special guests from the Organization of Bat Conservation will be in the LICM Theater to introduce kids to live bats from around the world.
