Harry Potter Halloween Workshop with LilChefs.com Special Events – October 21

Owls and snakes and frogs, oh my! LilChefs.com Special Events is holding its 2nd Annual Harry Potter Halloween Workshop on Sunday, October 21, 2012. Children ages 5-14 and adults will be spellbound by a visit with some of the animals featured in the Harry Potter series at the Center for Science Teaching and Learning nature preserve.

Program highlights include a sorting hat ceremony, wand decorating, costume contest, musical performances, spell duels, face painting, transfiguration booth, refreshments, goody bags, and having the “wand chose you.” Kids can then decide which special ingredients to add to the inside of their wand (phoenix feathers, unicorn tail hair, dragon heart string, etc.) so the core of the wand will give them special powers. Once they have a wand in hand, they will witness a spell duel and then participate in a spell duel lesson.

The beloved snacks workshop is still featuring yummy treats inspired by Harry Potter–cupcake cauldrons, acid pop lollipops, chocolate covered frogs, and chocolate cockroach clusters. Who knew chocolate and pretzels, gummy candies, licorice and lollipops could be so transformative?  Don’t forget a musical performance and live animals exhibit.

Space is limited for this magical event! Pre-registration and payment is required in advance.

Two sessions are available on October 21: 10:00 AM-12:00 PM and 12:30 PM-2:30 PM.

Visit the website: http://harrypotterevents.com to purchase tickets. Discount tickets available until Thursday, October 18th before the stroke of midnight.
