Looking for a fun family entertainment park without a far drive? Look no further than Boomers in Medford. Boomers is a perfect place to take the kids for a day of excitement. Offering both indoor games and outdoor rides and activities, kids ages 2-12 will find plenty to keep them busy.
Inside Boomers is the large game room offering token-based games of action, virtual reality and chance. This room can get loud and crazy! There’s an indoor rock wall for the adventurous set (wear sneakers) plus an indoor merry go round for younger kids. Tickets are dispensed and can be redeemed for standard amusement park prizes.
For lunch or snacking, there’s a food area with a large dining area with plenty of seating to accommodate groups and parties. The food is basic fare of pizza, sandwiches, hot dogs, hamburgers, chicken plus a few salads.
Outside there’s even more to do. Seven kiddie rides are open seasonally and include a roller coaster that even tweens love. There’s a mini jet ride, tea cups ride, kiddie swings, trucks, balloon ride and another carousel. There’s even a cute train ride that goes around the park complete with a tooting whistle.
The outdoor area in the back also offers batting cages and the ever popular Go Kart course. Passengers must be at least 40 inches tall to participate on this one and drivers must be a minimum of 58 inches. No flip flops or sandals are allowed so make sure to wear sneakers.
The park is in full sun with the exception of one sitting spot with two benches, so dress accordingly on hot days. To cool off, head out front and check out the bumper boats. Kids love squirting each other and many parents love to get in on the action as well. Driver must be at least 44 inches and passengers a minimum of 40 inches. Finally, for the whole family there’s a fun and challenging game of miniature golf with water features and windmills.
The early bird special for golf happens every Sunday from 10 am-noon at only $3.00 per person (normally $6). Pay One Price bracelets are the best option. There’s a $17 pass which includes mini golf, bumper boats and all kiddie rides. For $7 more, add on unlimited Go Karts.
Even better, Boomers has what they call $12 buck days where patrons pay one price for a bracelet (without the Go Kart option). Adults need bracelets as well if they wish to play. $12 buck days take place every Tuesday and Thursday.
Hours: Inside opens at 11 AM; Outside opens at 11:30 AM on weekdays and 12:00 PM on Saturday and Sunday
