It’s Mother’s Day weekend and families have plenty of options to celebrate mom’s big day such as mother and daughter yoga by the sea and more. We also found many non-holiday events from the Boater’s Maritime Festival to theater shows for kids. Here’s a list of things to do on Long Island with kids this weekend – Happy Mother’s Day!

Cold Spring Harbor – Cold Spring Harbor Whaling Museum “Mother & Daughter Yoga by the Sea”
Mothers and daughters can learn yoga poses inspired by the sea like the Fish Pose. Make sure to bring a mat and towel. The program takes place by the harbor or indoors if raining.

Old Bethpage – Restoration Farm “Mother’s Day Farm Tour and Plant Sale”
Restoration Farm is a 7-acre farm that grows season vegetables, berries, herbs, and flowers. They sell their goods through a CSA program (community supported agriculture) and a weekend farm stand. In addition to organic produce sold at the farm stand, other goods available include local honey, homemade jam, and baked goods.  For Mother’s Day, the farm is offering a farm tour and plant sale. There will also be activities for kids like decorating garden arts.
