Things to Do this Weekend on Long Island with Kids, 4/21-4/22

The first full week back to school after Spring Break can be rough. With the added stress of state exams, our kids need some time to get out and have a little fun. We’ve got lots of things to do with kids on Long Island this weekend, from Earth Day celebrations to Cinderella and an All Kids Fair!



Bridgehampton – Children’s Museum of the East End “Lego Club”
Children can construct works of art using thousands of Legos (donations of gently used Lego accepted)

Cold Spring Harbor - Whaling Museum Come celebrate Earth Day by making crafts with recycled water/soda bottles all while learning about how to save and protect our precious waters.

Freeport (Freeport Harbor) - Captain Lou’s Fleet Harbor Seal Cruise”
Families can take a naturalist-guided tour to learn about the behaviors of Harbor seals as well as other marine life in Hempstead Bay. Sponsored by the Riverhead Foundation.
When: Saturday, 4/21 and Sunday 4/22, both days from 12:00 PM-3:00 PM with boarding at 12:30 PM. Reservations required.

Treehouse Shakers presents an interactive, audience participation music and dance show about baby animals in the barnyard.

Come play with Play-doh, paint, and slime. Have fun creating a masterpiece at this wonderful children’s museum.

A performance filled with humor, dance, theatrics, and lots of audience participation, this show is bound to get kids laughing right out of their seats.  Five Flyers present this show with imaginary planes, creative choreography, and loads of silliness.
