Cold Spring Harbor - CSH Whaling Museum
Features: Hands-on interactive museum about the life of whalers, living on the sea, and all things whales. Toddler programs, birthday parties, senior days, school/organizations field trips on-site and off, and library programs.
Hours: Tuesday-Sunday and holiday Mondays 11 am-5 pm (also open Mondays for toddler programs and group bookings). Summer hours: 11 am-5 pm daily from Memorial Day-Labor Day

Cold Spring Harbor – Dolan DNA learning Center
Features:
Devoted to genes, disease risk, DNA, and cells. Exhibitions (currently under renovation), educator workshops, school/organizations field trips on site, summer camps, Saturday programs, and multimedia presentations.
Hours: Mondays-Fridays 10 am-4 pm, and on some Saturdays for “Saturdays DNA!” program

Garden City – Long Island Children’s Museum
Features:
Hands-on Museum all about the way things work. With exhibits, theater shows, demonstrations, school/organizations field trips on-site and off.
Hours: September-June: Closed Mondays, Tuesdays-Sundays, 10 am-5 pm. July-August, daily from 10 am-5 pm
How Much: $11 adults and children over 1 year old, Over 65 $10, Members and children under one FREE
