Little Chefs Cooking Classes for Kids

Looking for an innovative way to teach preschoolers their letters and their numbers?  Want to educate school-aged child about history and different countries. All of this can be done through the innovative and fun cooking classes at Little Chefs.

Little Chefs is owned and operated by mother-daughter team Gail Ginsberg and Allison Schneiderman. Both are former school teachers who love children and cooking so they wanted to combine the two into a business. Their teaching background helps them to incorporate learning into their classes – whether it is A is for Apple and B is for Butter or teaching about George Washington on Presidents Day and making cherry pie pockets, Little Chefs educates in a fun way.

The classes are taught by both of them, and they have many repeat customers. These loyal patrons make Little Chefs feel more like mom’s or grandma’s kitchen versus a cooking school. The school warmly welcomes newcomers who will feel like part of the “family” in no time.

Little Chefs offers a variety of weekly cooking classes such as “Mommy and Me” and “Fairytales and Mother Goose” for younger children and “Delicious Dinners and Desserts” and “International Cooking” for older children.

For those unable to commit to a weekly schedule of classes, the school offers special “Holiday” classes every month. These classes are tailored to the age of the children attending. If the children are younger, more of the items will be prepared and pre-cut so that the kids focus more on assembly. If the kids are older, they will help with more of the preparation.  All the “Holiday” classes include storytime and a craft in addition to the cooking.

Little Chefs is also a great place to hold a birthday party. They have a variety of party themes including cupcake making, cookie making and brownie making. They have recently introduced a “cake wars” theme where different teams of partygoers compete to decorate the best cake.

Little Chefs has two locations on Long Island. The offerings at both locations are the same so if one location is booked up, customers can give the other facility a call.
