Black Friday Sales and Shopping on Long Island

The answer is Yes. Black Friday is worth it. Not for the faint of heart, Black Friday kicks off the holiday shopping season at 9pm on Thanksgiving and lasts until 10pm on Friday night. The best deals can be found before 10am on Friday morning and you must come prepared to shop till you drop.  Most stores will claim that they have “Black Friday” deals however which ones are the best is sometimes hard to tell. Where can you truly find the deepest discounts and the best merchandise? We have the best Black Friday deals and listings for you to browse and decide where to battle the crowds.


Toys R Us – Doors open at 9pm on Thanksgiving

Toys R Us is going for the gold this Black Friday by offering over 150 doorbusters and 50% off many hot toys for the season. Essentials are also being deeply discounted like all shoes are Buy 1 Get 1 %50 off, Earths Best baby food is buy 1 get 1 free, toddler jeans and shirts are $6 each, Babies R Us Value Pack Diapers are a meer $10 per case. Other reasons to head over are Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 DVD for $11.99 along with many Disney and hit DVD’s for under $10 Disney Princess and Me Doll Outfits are Buy 1 get 1 Free and so much more. If you ask us, this is where Santa should start first.

Target – Doors open at Midnight

Electronics is the name of the game at Target this Black Friday with doorbusters like an Acer laptop for $157, 8 GB Ipod touch for $195, video game controllers for $39 each, Nintendo 3DS for $179, DvD’s for $3.99 each, preschool games for 3.99, and leapfrog and leapster games are $14.99. Shopping for a new vacuum? The Dyson DC24 is on sale for $279. Sweet!

Lowes – Doors open at 5AM on Friday

Christmas trees, wreaths, plants, garland, lights, stands, storage bins, ornaments, and fire pits are all deeply discounted as much as 50%.

Kmart – Doors open at 5AM

Apparel sets for kids many under $10, Leapfrog toys are $15, Fisher Price Laugh and Learn toys are buy 1 get 1 free, and 50% off of many select shoes for the whole family.

Macy’s – Doors open at Midnight

Some of the deals they will be offering on Black Friday include 50% off Sharper Image iPhone/iPod docking stations, a FREE digital video camera with purchase of any fragrance purchase of $65 or more, 40% off select coffee makers, tea kettles and espresso makers plus much more!

Walmart – Doors open at 10pm on Thursday for a toy doorbuster and 12 midnight for electronics

Wii games for $10 each , DVD’s starting at $2 each, but we say stay away from Wallmart, it tends to be dangerous and not that fruitfull as far as deals go.

Disney Store – Doors Open at Midnight

Disney Store will give free Muppets stickers, and offer deals on Muppets plush toys to celebrate the opening of Disney’s The Muppets on November 23. At Disney Store locations nationwide guests who arrive between midnight and 10 a.m. on Magical Friday can take advantage of a 20 percent discount store-wide, including already-discounted merchandise (some exclusions apply). Grab this season’s hottest Disney toys, lifestyle products and seasonal decor at $10, $15, and $20 price points.

Americana Manhasset

The Funky Monkey Pop Up Store is now open among the high end shops at Americana. Also, from  Friday, November 25  – Sunday, December 25 alice + olivia is offering 15% off your purchase  when you donate any new or unused toy, child’s book or coat, or unopened package of diapers. All donations will be distributed through Baby Buggy to families in need.

Roosevelt Field Mall

The First 250 Early Bird Shoppers On Black Friday Get A Holiday Scented Candle.

The first 250 shoppers who stop by Simon Guest Services will receive a free scented holiday candle. Take a break at the Rejuvenation Station in Bloomingdale’s Court, where you also can catch a free holiday movie or two. The sleep-deprived needn’t worry: Slomin’s will be giving away free coffee at the mall’s South Entrance.

Broadway Mall

The first 100 guests to come to the Broadway Mall customer service booth on November 25 will receive a Broadway mall Gift Card valued between $10 and $100 and a Bath and Body Works product; the first 200 guests will receive an oversized IKEA Shopping Bag for their holiday shopping.

Walk through the door at Smith Haven Mall between 4 a.m. and 6 a.m. and pick up a free holiday shopping planner/receipt holder – while supplies last. Getting a little tired? Relax at the Rejuvenation Station in front of JCPenney, with soft seating and holiday movies. From 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., stop by and visit Santa in Center Court. Show off your gift-giving skills by donating a new, unwrapped toy to the Brookhaven Interfaith Toy Drive and placing it in the big snowman toy box in Center Court.

Walt Whitman Shops

Black Friday Toy Drive will take place in the Lord & Taylor court, across from theFood Court. 100% of all toys and funds collected will stay right here on Long Island and will help brighten the holiday season for sick and underprivileged kids. The Toy Drive Event will feature Face Painting (11am-2pm), Video Game Competitions (All Day), Games and Prizes, including “Minute to Win It” challenges throughout the day, Giveaways.
