Election day, Tuesday, November 8, is tomorrow so if you’re looking for something fun to do with your kids (before or after you hit the polls, of course), here are our top 10 activities:



Relax with some coffee and watch your kids play at Le Play Cafe. Check their facebook page for daily specials on admission.

East Meadow

Let your kids play at the new playground and  kick around some dry leaves at Field 4 in Eisenhower Park

Where: Eisenhower Park is located in East Meadow along Merrick Avenue, between Stewart Avenue and Hempstead Turnpike.

Garden City

Attend an Afternoon Tea Party! Treat your little lady (or gentleman) to a prim and proper tea party. There will be freshly-baked scones, yogurt parfaits, finger sandwiches, cookies and mini cupcakes. Take this opportunity to teach your kids about the benefits of purchasing locally grown, seasonal produce. The farmers market has everything from produce and baked goods, to spices, wines, soaps, plants and more

Have some indoor fun at Active Kidz

Spend a few hours at the Vanderbilt Museum.  The planetarium is closed for renovations but the mansion, marine museum and natural-history exhibits are open on Tuesdays from noon-4pm.
