Haunted Houses in Long Island – That Won’t Scare Kids

This Halloween let your kids join in on the fun with age-appropriate haunted houses that are a lot more fun than scary. Here’s a list of some kid-friendly ones in Long Island:





Bayville Scream Park

Suitable for younger kids, there are two “not so scary ” haunted houses, as well as the pumpkin bounce, the pumpkin patch, the spooky Halloween Express Train and a Hay Ride. These attractions are less scary versions of the adults ones, with less effects and no actors. Prices range from $5.75-$7.75 per attraction, as well as a VIP unlimited ticket for $18.75.

This haunted mansion has a “not so scary” Monster House for kids. This attraction features goofy creatures, no actors and the lights are on the entire time! $7 for adults or kids includes a complimentary glow in the dark bracelet and a treat.


Boo! A Not so Scary Haunted House

This haunted house is hosted by the Lake Ronkonkoma Historical Society and is geared towards children 12 and under. $3.00 admission includes face painting and snacks.

Sag Harbor

This place features the Whaling Museum Children’s Tour.

St. James

Not Too Scary Haunted House

This haunted house is free (donations are appreciated). On October 3oth there is also a parade along Lake Avenue at 1pm.
