Halloween Treats: Candy Corn Jello with Marshmallows

Do you love candy corn as much as we do? We’ve whipped up some sweet and simple treats -made a little less sugary with Jello. Remember that Candy Corn goes yellow, orange and white (we goofed) – but they still taste amazing and will delight your little ones.

Jell-o + Marshmallow + Bite Size =Addicting.

Candy Corn Jell-O with Marshmallows

1 – 6oz Box EACH of Orange and Lemon Jell-o (large boxes)
6 Pkgs of UNFLAVORED Gelatin (“Knox”)
14oz. Condensed Milk (sweetened)
1 package Mini Marshmallows

*Lightly coat the glass pan or cookie sheet with a cooking spray.

Mix Lemon first with two packages of unflavored gelatin with 2-cups hot water, stir, dissolve and pour in a 9×11 glass pan OR edged cookie sheet for thinner layers.

If using marshmallows, refrigerate slightly so that marshmallows will set into the Jell-o. This can be an opportunity to let the kids have fun helping.  Imagine the tray cut into small squares and try to set one or two marshmallows in each space.

Refrigerate for 15-25 minutes. Repeat with Orange layer.

*Note* make sure the layers are completely cooled before pouring next layer or you will have scrambled jell-o. Don’t worry, this will still be yummy!

The milk layer will go on last giving this treat candy corn colored layers.

Milk Mixture: Goes last.
1.) Mix 2-packages of unflavored gelatin with ¼ cup cold water, stir. Then add ¾ cup hot water. Stir and dissolve.
2.) In another bowl, pour condensed milk with 1-cup hot water. Stir well, then combine unflavored gelatin and milk mixture together. (Make sure bowl is large enough).  Add to flavored layer and refrigerate.

Once completely chilled, flip over onto a clean surface and gently pry edges with fingertips. The Jell-o should flop right out onto the surface. Cut into squares or any desired shape using a clean knife or cookie cutter.
