Family Review: Dave and Busters

Want a fun family night out? Going to Dave and Busters for reasonably priced dinner and some fun and games will make everyone in your family happy. The Sports fans in your family can watch live in season sports on the numerous TVs that are in the dining, bowling, billiards and bar areas. Kids will enjoy playing games and winning tickets to trade in for prizes. There are many different types of arcade games to choose from.

TIP: Going with coupons for dinner, bowling or money that converts to points on the power game cards that are swiped in the arcade games makes the trip worthwhile and affordable.

On our recent trip, we had a coupon for dinner and numerous coupons that gave us points on our game cards. Coupons can be found by searching the web. My children, ages 9, 5, 4 had a blast going from one game to the next, swiping their own and winning tickets on most games. We spent a total of 3 fun filled hours there and they could have stayed longer.
When there was a problem with one of the machines, the employees, who are dressed in referee uniform shirts and walking around the arcade, quickly came over to fix it.
The dining area was clean and the staff was nice. We sat in the “seat yourself area” and a waitress greeted us quickly. There is a children’s menu and an adult menu which are both reasonably priced. Each of my kids ordered a different meal and they were all happy with their food. We enjoyed our food too – we liked that there was a lot of choice.  Our meals came right away and they were good. Highchairs are available if needed.
The restrooms were large with many stalls; it was clean by the sink area and I saw bathroom attendants wiping the counters down.  If you have a stroller or a wheelchair, there are ramps to get around without having to lift from one level to the next and there is ample spacing in the arcade area to maneuver around.
There are 3 locations on Long Island: Westbury ( Source Mall) – which is the one we visited, Islandia (Vet’s Hwy). and Farmingdale ( Airport Plaza Blvd).
Hours are: Sun-Wed: 11:30am-MidnightThurs: 11:30am-1:00am Fri-Sat:11:30am-2:00am
