Guide to Farmer’s Markets on Long Island

Craving some farm fresh fruits and veggies? Check out one of Long Island’s fantastic farmer’s markets. Some of the markets are bigger than others — so you may want to make sure you have another activity (before or after) to do if you plan on taking the kids to the market.


Hempstead Turnpike (parking lot adjacent to library)
Open Thursday 9am to 2pm – season is June 30 to Nov 24

Garden City
101 County Seat Drive behind the State Supreme Court building off of Old Country Road
Open Tuesdays from 7AM until 1PM – Season from June 7th – November 22nd.

Glen Cove
Village Square
9am to 2pm – season starts Friday June 17

Grant Park and will be held on Fridays from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM from June 3rd until November 18th.

Kennedy Memorial Park,
Jerusalem Avenue and Broadway – Open Sunday 9am – 2pm. Season is May 15 to Nov 17

Long Beach
Kennedy Plaza at Long Beach City Hall, next to LIRR station
Open Wed 10am to 6pm and Saturday 9am to 2pm – season is  May 4 to Nov 24

Port Washington Organic Farmers’ Market
Town Dock – Main Street
Saturdays from 8 to 12 – season is June to October

Rockville Centre
Long Island Railroad parking lot, Sunrise Hwy.
Opens Sunday, 7 AM to Noon – season is July through early November

Roslyn North Hills
Christopher Morley Park on Searing Town Road.
Open Wednesdays from 7:00 AM to 1:00 PM – season is  June 8th – November 23rd.


Huntington Village
Located east of Route 110 North on Main Street (Route 25 A)
Open Sundays from 7 AM to 12 Noon – season starts June 5th – November 20th.

Islip Farmers Market
Town Hall Parking Lot
Montauk Highway, Route 27A
Saturdays from 7 AM to 12 PM – season is from June 4th and running until November 19th.

Kings Park
Municipal lot near library
Open Sunday 9am to 2pm – season is from June 26 to November 20

Port Jefferson
Steamroom parking Lot on Route 25A and Route 112
Open Thursdays from 10:00 AM until 4:00 PM – season is from June to October
